I teach 8th grade math. I had set a goal for myself in 2017 that I was going to lose 100lbs in 2018. I was at a large point in my life and I wanted a change. I started my journey at 299.8lbs. 100lbs was a huge goal to set for a whole year and I knew I would need to make smaller goals to reach throughout the year. I set my mid-year goal of 50lbs by July 1st. The best feeling I had during my journey was the initial 10lbs loss. You feel great, clothes begin to feel looser and that gave me more of a drive to keep going.

I also stopped weighing myself every day because I found that each day you might weigh more or less and it would be discouraging but going with a consistent weekly weigh-in (Friday morning) was better for my mental health. With a consistent gym routine in place and nutrition on point, I was able to lose 40lbs by July 1st . After than I ended up going into maintenance mode and hovered around that point for the duration of the year. In total by the end of the year, I had lost 58lbs of my initial goal of 100lbs. While I was a little disappointed that I did not reach my 100lb goal, I realize that with my workout plan and muscle mass increased I have gained muscle and cut back on my body fat percent. I ended my 2018 at 241.8lbs.

As a college athlete I ate mostly Whole Foods but I didn’t have to be super conscious on portions/macros because my body needed to be refueled all the time. 

Out of college I still had the same eating habits and I began to see my body change and I wasn’t comfortable with it. 

I reached out to Liv for help on how to lose a couple pounds but more importantly learn how to have a healthier balanced diet regarding portions and macros, that fit my lifestyle and current workouts. 

What I loved most about working with Liv was that she was very intentional about building a relationship with me on how the changes we were making made me feel emotionally and physically. When I had a hard time staying within my macros, she gave me suggestions on foods and different ways to reach certain macros or stay under. Liv also was very realistic about it becoming a lifestyle not a diet and to not deprive myself of the things I did crave. 

Overall working with Liv taught me how to be more conscious and what portions, and macros I now needed to fuel my body and reach my goals. The life changing takeaway I am grateful for is learning to work towards balanced and not depriving myself of the yummy foods, and treats that I love!

Liv really cares for her clients, and definitely assessed each one individually, rather than a whole. I’ve learned to relax with foods that I crave, and to make changes slowly to achieve the goal that was intended.

Getting to connect with others in the Healthy & Beyond program working with Liv and getting to hear about everyone’s achievements was great because it helped motivate me.

Other nutrition programs were structured to general numbers. Where Liv listens to your needs and breaks down how to achieve them. She really tries to understand and individualize the programs.

I felt the support I got from Liv was exceptional! I would definitely recommend this program to anyone considering hiring a coach.

I had been following Liv on Instagram because I met her in college. In the Spring, I was experiencing some depression over the surprising number I saw on the scale. I had finally found a workout program that I enjoyed, but could not get my nutrition on point. Liv's posts on Instagram were filled with helpful information & were very engaging.

I was attracted to the grace she gave herself & her followers. I could tell she was very knowledgeable & had put a ton of time and dedication into educating herself, so I decided to reach out.

I worked with her for 6 months.

I learned SO much! Here are some of the most important: 1- Freedom. I can enjoy a weekend away without regret & shame. I have been taught tools (portion control, only eating when I'm actually hungry) that help me go away for a weekend, TRULY enjoy myself & my food, and come home with no weight gain. That's not always the case, but regardless, there is freedom and grace. 2 - Nutrition is VERY personal. I will neverrrrrrrr fall for a 'one size fits all' diet again. I will also neverrrrrr encourage others to do this. Every body is different. 3 - This is as much a mental & spiritual journey as it is physical/nutritional. When I started, I had no idea. My weight loss depends on so much more than just what food I take in - my sleep, stress levels, routines, etc. all matter! Liv has been helpful in every single aspect. She encourages health for the whole-being.

My favorite part of her program was the encouragement. I can tell Liv is very passionate about what she does & LOVES supporting me in my journey. She puts so much time into reaching out via email, text, social media, just to be sure her clients feel supported. I NEVER felt like I was in this alone. She cheered me on the entire way. Liv became my #1 cheerleader & was always ready to answer my questions and give advice.

The H&BN program was different from other nutrition programs that I've tried. Others were not personalized, not maintainable, and did not include the relationship/community aspect. Liv was able to personalize a program for me that was different from anyone else. She took into account every aspect of my life that I was willing to share (biofeedback), as this program is way more than just about what I eat. I also feel incredibly confident that I can maintain my weight and/or weight loss when I end this program. I feel so well equipped. Liv & her community were a great asset to her program, that you can't get anywhere else.

I started working with Liv because I was stuck. I couldn't lose weight doing the same things I've done in the past. Going to the gym 7 days a week and doing a bunch of cardio wasn't working so I thought I'd give Liv a try.

I worked with her for 7 months.

I've learned that losing weight is so much more than just cutting calories and hitting the gym. I've learned that I wasn't eating enough protein and I didn't have to shame myself for eating carbs and fats. I also learned that lifting heavy weights in the gym will not make me explode into the hulk, in fact it's doing the opposite and I've never felt better!

Having my check-ins to keep me on track and accountable. I also enjoyed all of the weekly tips Liv gives on her instagram and facebook page. Last but certainly not least I loved all the yummy recipes on Pintrest and in the monthly newsletter, it's definitely helped me to eat more vegetables, turns out they don't always have to taste bad!

She went through a reverse diet for 3 months to increase food to improve energy levels and quality of life. We increased her calories by 500 in 3 months, all while maintaining her weight.

This allowed her to head into the holidays without a restriction or fear of re-gaining weight. During her reverse diet she was able to reduce stress, improve sleep quality, and hit new PR’s in her Crossfit gym.
