About Liv

Registered Dietitian + Personal Trainer

As I began to learn more about nutrition from my coursework, I experimented with things on my own body. Transitioning out of college sports and into my dietetic internship brought new barriers. I found a love for lifting weights in the gym, but I was juggling more responsibilities than ever. I was gaining nutrition experience to become an RD for 40 hours of my week and working at a gym part time for about 10 hours a week. All while managing my personal life of fitness, healthy eating habits and relationships because I strongly believe in “practicing what I preach.”

Fast forward to passing my boards and landing my first full time job as an RD, finally! That was a new transition for me and one I was surprised to be the hardest of all. I say all this because I want you to know I understand what it’s like to have new stressors and BIG transitions in your life. They can be hard to navigate and it can be easy to overlook our health.

My name is Olivia Young. My friends call me Liv. I am a Registered Dietitian who believes nutrition + fitness has the power to change your life. Everyone should have their nutrition individualized based on their goals and lifestyle.

My journey with nutrition started in middle school. My mom started doing Weight Watchers to lose weight and naturally I thought that meant I should be on a “diet” too. This was the beginning of my yo-yo dieting and weight cycling years. It continued throughout high school and into the first part of my college career as a student athlete.

I became a dietitian to help people understand their body’s individual needs and create healthier lifestyles through nutrition. However, I have found that it’s hard to ask and admit we need help. I wanted to break through the traditional dietitian setting (medical facilities) and give you access to me through the internet. Busy people who need help don’t have time to make in-person appointments, so here I am!
